S.W.A.P. is pleased to announce that Dr. Ann Cudd (University of Kansas) and Dr. Marina Oshana (University of Florida) have agreed to speak as keynotes at S.W.A.P.'s Fourth Annual Conference for Topics of Diversity in Philosophy to be held at Florida State University on February 22nd and 23rd, 2008.

CALL FOR PAPERS:
4th Annual S.W.A.P. Conference for Topics of Diversity in Philosophy

The Society for Women's Advancement in Philosophy is planning their fourth annual conference and seeking paper submissions suitable for a 30-minute presentation (collaborative panel proposals will also be considered). We encourage submissions by graduate students on any branch of philosophy applied to issues of race, sexuality, gender, and related topics. Radical philosophy is welcome.

Location of Conference: Florida State University

Conference Dates: Friday and Saturday, February 22nd and 23rd 2008

Keynote Speakers:
(1) Ann Cudd: Professor of Philosophy and Director of Women’s Studies, University of Kansas
(2) Marina Oshana: Professor of Philosophy, University of Florida

Submission Deadline: December 10, 2007

Submission Guidelines: Paper submissions: Include complete paper and abstract (up to 150 words). All paper submissions are blind-reviewed. No author-identifying information in the text of the paper. Include author and contact information in the text of e-mail or cover letter (for mailed submissions).
Panel proposals: Panel proposals should include a topic title, a 250-word (maximum) abstract from each participant as well as a 250-word (maximum) statement that explains the importance and relevance of the panel. In a separate document include a list of confirmed participants along with their affiliations.

The Call for Papers for S.W.A.P.'s 3rd Annual Conference for Topics of Diversity in Philosophy has been corrected/updated in the following ways: 1) the previous dates were incorrect, the Conference will take place on Friday, Feb. 9th and Saturday, Feb. 10th (not the 10th and 11th as previously posted) 2) the deadline for paper submissions has been extended to December 18, 2006.
